This year I am planning to go to one or even two Halloween costume parties. What I will dress up is still the problem since most of my costumes are booked by others. I had the following ideas for what I could wear based on what it looks like will be left and which is not an animal costume, superhero/villain or Star Wars character:
1. Ninja uniform with spiked skull mask, the spiked skull mask also has a bit of a neck and shoulder part.
2. Schoolgirl uniform with the same mask as mentioned above, the problem is that my arms would then be open which breaks the effect a bit.
3. Red devil costume with demon mask where only parts of my lower jaw shows. I can use facepaint for that section.
4. Large purple medieval dress with padding around the chest with female mask and wig.
5. Red/gold medieval dress with mask and blonde wig plus padding. More different mask face options for this costume due to being a different character. I could try and go for a freaky cute look.
6. Nun costume with padding, mask and long white gloves, the costume is a bit short for me.
7. French Maid with padding, mask and wig plus long white gloves. I have worn this before for a Halloween party which turned out to be fun.
8. Indian, either male or female costume with wig.
9. Venom, this is actually a superhero/villain, but I might wear this if I go with people I know to an event.

Halloween costume party turned into birthday party
One of my clients invited me to a superhero themed Halloween costume party. Recently I got a phone call that too many people are coming and several cannot attend anymore including myself due to parking and space problems for that apartment building.
Today I was told about a superhero themed birthday near my home that I could possibly attend. Hopefully that will actually happen. The person who said I could come mentioned that it would be funny if I show up in a female costume. Based on what is left of all the people renting from me, I might end up having to do that.

Foam latex Halloween masks
Halloween is coming soon and I want to go to a Halloween party this year. Preferably I want to go to a proepr costume party and take my girlfriend along. She doesn't like costumes too much due to feeling awkward which I understand because that usually happens to me if I put on a costume to go to those rare costume parties that I go to once or twice a year.
What I would like to do is to be dressed up to look completely different like I did last year where more or less nobody realised that I was actually wearing a realistic looking female mask to make my costume look proper because I was dressed as a french maid.
The plan is to maybe be dressed with my girlfriend as two ugly looking witches which are twins, but I am not sure if my girlfriend would want to attempt that. Alternatively, I can always try anything else or take someone else along.
This is where the dilemma comes in: Which masks to get? I cannot afford too many and shipping takes time to get them here from Europe.

Halloween requests
Finally some Halloween requests are showing up. I was expecting them a little bit sooner. There are still some masks and costumes that I want to get as well and hopefully find out about some Halloween party that I can go to.

Witches and Wizards costume party at DecoDance Underground
This coming Saturday is a costume party at DecoDance Underground in Woodstock, Cape Town. I am planning to go there and a colleague of mine will most likely be there as well. The last time I went to something like this was a Halloween party.

Costume laundry after a Halloween weekend
During the Halloween weekend I rented out about thirty costumes. The Sunday when the first costumes started coming back, I had three loads of washing machine done. Last night I finally did the second last load. One or two days during the week I had no chance to do laundry, due to a dog between me and the washing machine that loves to bite me and has done so a few times already.
The Halloween Friday was a lot of fun. I was invited to a party and had a French Maid costume on. To the costume I added some extra gloves, a mask from Greyland and an extra wig. The mask allowed me to eat smaller bits of food like sweets and chips. Some people took a long time to realise that I was wearing a mask. Fortunately with the Greyland masks there is no real sweatign involved because they are made out of foam latex. In the end I got a prize for best costume and people were apparently still talking about that one days later.
